Potential 5k Recovery Runners. Price Reduction from initial offer.
After considering feedback from the public about the price of the 5km event, we have decided to meet the market and reduce the price of the event. On reflection the price may have been a bit high, although in reality, it just reflects the costs of staging a small event in a premium location with a short lead time. Anyway, hindsight is a wonderful thing....and as a local business we are listening.
We have today reduced the 5km entry price by $10 to $45 for adult, $25 for child and $126 for Family of 4 (or $31.50 each). You get a souvenir hat, finishers medal, race bib, live chip timing, drink stations, the best sport commentator creating a great atmosphere and one of the best locations in Australia.
Anyone already entered has been sent an email about the discount.
We are a small local business taking a risk on the viability of this event in difficult times and hope this gesture is a reflection of our integrity.
We look forward to seeing you on Event Day.
H Events COVID vaccination policy for Maitland Triathlon 2021
Draft Course Plan for Island Triathlon for resident consultation.
Due to the continuing COVID restrictions likely to be still in place in early November, we have moved the event date to Sun 12 Dec 2021, to allow time for the vaxination rates to move above 80% and Community Sports Events to be allowed.
So close.... and yet so far!!!

After todays (9 Sept 2021) NSW Government announcements giving no clear indication about when large scale outdoor events like ours can take place, and if so, certainly not before late October, it is with regret that we are unable to stage the event on 10 Oct 2021.

Update No 1
To celebrate our new venue at Wandin we will be staging a pre event carb loading dinner with a very special guest speaker local marathon legend Scott Westcott on Saturday 17 July from 6.30pm. The dinner will be staged at the Wandin Cricket Pavilion room right next to the event compound. Dinner will be sumptuous pasta dinner served to the table of homemade gnocchi with seasonal veg and a slowed cooked beef brisket pappardelle pasta, sourdough, French butter, cheese and fruit grazing board plus tea and coffee. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

After todays (23 June) increase in COVID 19 cases and the movement restrictions for Sydney residents, we wish to advise you of this events current position:
We will not be making any decision on any changes to this event until Monday 5 July. This will provide ample time for authorities to monitor future COVID risks and restrictions.
We will at all times comply with the NSW Health orders in place at the time of the event.
Our event will be staged in a COVID safe manner. You must play your part in this policy on race day.
If Health Restrictions require our event to be postponed, we will announce a suitable date as soon as possible given venue and approval constraints.
If postponed, all entries will be automatically moved to the new date.
If postponed, all requests for changes to entries will need to be via email to paul@hevents.com.au
