NSW TRIATHLON CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
SAT 17TH MAY 2025
RACE INFORMATION UPDATE 1 OF 2

Thank you for entering or volunteering in the NSW Triathlon Club Championships 2025, taking place in Forster on Saturday 17 May. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to a weekend of triathlon, camaraderie and community spirit in beautiful Forster.

This is the first of two race updates containing important event information. Please take a moment to read through this update carefully to ensure you are aware of any changes. If you are part of a relay team, kindly forward this email to your teammates.

At H Events, we are proud to partner with NSW Triathlon and the broader Triathlon Club network to deliver a safe, exciting and enjoyable event. While the format remains largely unchanged from last year, a few isues surrounding the park condition, other events affecting our cycle course and stakeholder feedback have meant we need to make some changes to:

  • NEW EVENT AREA: With the completion of the Forster SLSC Clubhouse, we are focusing our event admin, finish line and bike compound all from the top carpark and adjoining roads/space. This will make for excellent spectating and a compact event precinct next to the Club.

  • START TIMES: Due to an event at the local golf course we need to move our event starts forward.

    • Club Distance (including Aquabike and Teams) waves will start 7.45am  - 8.30am (waves available in next update Wed 14 May)

    • Half Distance (including Aquabike and Teams) waves will start 9:15 am - 9.30am  (waves available in next update Wed 14 May)

    • Super Sprint 12-13 Juniors will start 10.15am

    • Juniors 7-11 will start 10.45am.

  • FINSIH LINE: All events will finish next to the Forster SLSC in the car park. The Club Distance run course remains two laps.

Please see the details below for further information across all elements of the event.

We appreciate your involvement and look forward to seeing you on race day.

Kind regards,
The H Events Team

Cycle Course Information

The cycle course begins at Main Beach, Forster, heading south along North Street to a turn point on Head Street. At this point, riders will divert through the car park opposite Cross Street, exiting on the far side and merging with cyclists turning in the middle section of the course. This allows a clear turn point during the event.

From this turn point, Club Distance competitors will complete three laps through the surrounding streets of Forster. The Half Distance course turns prior to Cliff Street.

A comprehensive traffic management plan is in place, with over 45 traffic controllers, police officers, and course marshals ensuring the safety of all riders. While the roads remain open to local residents, significant measures have been taken to minimise vehicle traffic throughout the event. Please remain alert and exercise caution, particularly in the event of any unexpected vehicles entering the course.

Juniors (7–11 years) will complete a shorter bike leg using only North Street.

Important:
Please do not litter on the course – respect the local environment and community.

Run Course Information

The run leg for the Club Distance event consists of two 4km loops. The route is predominantly flat, with the only notable incline being the gentle rise as you cross the picturesque Forster Bridge.

Please be aware that there are several narrow sections along the run course. We ask all participants to adjust their pace as necessary in these areas and to show courtesy when overtaking others.

Important:
Again, please do not litter on the course. Respect for the local environment and fellow participants is greatly appreciated.
