Sunday's event will be the grand finale of the weekend with athletes of all standards from beginners to Paralympians. We have relocated the event to Pitt St Reserve on the southern side of Stockton pool. Registration is possible on Saturday from 9.00am to 4.00pm and also starts at 5.30am on Sunday, with the event starting at 6.30am for the Standard from the inside the Stockton Swimming Pool.
The ParaTriathlon race kit collection and briefing will be Saturday at the General Washington Hotel at 3.30pm on crn Hunter and Mitchell St.
The swims will be in the pool using a rolling wave start with maximum numbers in the pool at any one point. Swim distances are:
- Standard Triathlon - 750m (8 laps) - From 6.30am - Please know your estimated swim time for seeding
- Sprint Triathlon - 375m (4 laps) - From 7.40am - Please know your estimated swim time for seeding
- ParaTriathlon - 750m (8 laps) - From 8.50am
- Wetsuits are not allowed due to the water temperature.
The cycle and runs courses are unchanged except for start and finish point on the course. The Standard distance event will swim 750m, ride 40km (8 x 5km laps) and run 10km (4 x 2.5km laps). The Sprint Triathlon will swim 375m, ride 20km (4 x 5km laps) and run 5km (2 x 2.5km laps) and ParaTriathlon distance events will swim 750m, ride/handcycle 20km (4 X 5km laps) and run/race chair 5km (2 x 2.5km laps).
Early Parking (5.15am - 6.15am) for the Sunday event will be in Pitt St Reserve off Pitt St next to the event compound. You must approach from King St and turn right into Pitt St and drive approx. 400m to the parking, which is OFF the street on the left in the park. You will not get out of the parking until 10.30am. DO NOT park on Pitt St or any part of the course. If you arrive after 6.15am you will need to park in the streets of Stockton. Please be respectful of residents and reduce doors slamming and chatter.
FERRY from NEWCASTLE
If you are staying in Newcastle, the Ferry will be running from 5.05am. The Ferry Station is only 350m from the event compound, and centrally located at Newcastle. The trip is just 6 - 8 min. Bikes are allowed.
Rotary will be on hand with some refreshment and food for sale, but if you are after something more substantial check out Lexies Cafe just 300m up the road.
